Terms of Service
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the GoLearn website (“Site”) at golearn.com.my, online and mobile applications (“Apps”), or any other means provided or authorized by GoLearn (“GoLearn”). Please read these Terms before using or continuing to use the Site. By using or continuing to use the Site, you represent and warrant that you understand, agree to, and accept all Terms of Use contained in these Terms.
General Terms
GoLearn provides this Site to Users seeking tutoring services (“Students”) and to Users seeking to provide tutoring services (“Tutors”), and to any other entity on whose behalf Users accept these Terms. The term “User” or “You” refers to Students, Tutors or any person or entity who views, uses, accesses, or browses any content on, and/or creates, uploads, posts, sends, receives, or stores content to the Site or Apps. The term “Tutoring Session” refers to any active subscribed service through the GoLearn platform. The term “month” refers to the period calculated from the date of the first day of any Tutoring Session of any month until the same date of the next month.
These Terms are entered into by and between GoLearn and you, and you accept them by:
- Accessing or viewing the content of the Site or Apps;
- Contracting for tutoring lessons through the Site or Apps;
- Registering as a tutor or providing tutoring lessons through the Site or Apps;
- Using the Site or Apps in any other manner;
- Acknowledging agreement with these Terms.

Services
The Site or Apps offers a platform for those seeking tutoring services to connect with those seeking to provide tutoring services. As independent businesses engaged by Students, Tutors decide, are responsible for, and generally control the methods, materials, scheduling, frequency, duration, and all other aspects of the tutoring they provide.
Students are responsible for selecting the right tutor for their needs. In making hiring decisions, Students should review and investigate each tutor's self-reported credentials, education, and experience, as well as reviews from other Students.
Responsibilities of Tutors or Students
You agree that you are of legal age and have the ability and understanding to agree to these Terms on your own behalf and/or on behalf of a minor who will be receiving tutoring services. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and promptly update it as necessary.
Subscription Fee & Commission
- There is no subscription fee to register as a standard Tutor member.
- GoLearn is entitled to 50% of the agreed monthly tuition fee, depending on tuition type, commitment length, special requests, and other factors deemed appropriate by GoLearn.
- If cash payment is selected by Students, Tutors must pay the agreed commission to GoLearn within 7 days after the end of the previous month.
Payment Methods
GoLearn accepts cash, online banking, and debit or credit card payments.
Fulfillment & Termination Policy
- Sessions can be canceled 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling is encouraged.
- Students may terminate within 14 days of the month with partial payments.
- Tutors may terminate sessions for valid reasons (health, accident, scheduling conflicts, or student misconduct).
- Minimum commitment period is one month. Early termination in the first two weeks allows a full refund.
- Non-payment triggers suspension until cleared.
Refund Policy
Refund requests can be initiated through the Site or Apps. GoLearn will review and accept or reject within 3 working days. Full refund applies for sessions terminated within the first two weeks of the first month.
Late & Early Ending Policy
- Students late are billed from the scheduled start time.
- Students ≥15 min late may have sessions canceled, full session billed.
- Tutors ≥15 min late may have sessions canceled by Students at no charge.
- Ending a session early: Tutors are paid in full for scheduled time.
Interactions & Conduct
Tutors must maintain professionalism, appropriate attire, venue, and language. Students understand that GoLearn screens tutors but cannot guarantee accuracy. Both parties are responsible for their interactions.
Confidentiality & Content
All confidential information must be kept secret during and after the agreement. Users grant GoLearn a worldwide, royalty-free license to use content uploaded to the Site or Apps.
Intellectual Property & Copyright
GoLearn retains all IP rights. Users may not use copyrighted material without permission. All materials are protected under the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987.
Disclaimer & Liability
Use of the Site or Apps is at your own risk. GoLearn is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, hacking, loss of data, or device issues.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold GoLearn and its affiliates harmless from any claims, including attorney fees, arising from violation of these Terms or infringement of rights.
Suspension & Termination
GoLearn may suspend or terminate any User at its sole discretion. Suspended or terminated Users must cease using the Site or Apps.
Amendments
GoLearn may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
